Summer wedding season is in full swing and the studio is busy, busy, busy. But I thought I'd take a quick minute and post a recent project of mine. The bedroom needed some sprucing up and being the non-conformist I am I couldn't just go buy a 'bed-in-a-bag' and be happy. So a trip or two to Joanns for some fabric, a quilt purchased online, some great finds on sheets, 4 album frames {that were like $3 on sale at Target} and we were ready for a quick weekend project.
{some of the fabric on the fabulous yellow quilt I found. the initial tea towel was a gift & I've been trying to think of something to do with it.....and milo just couldn't resist getting in on the action. I was trying to sew a pillow case and he decided he needed a little attention, gotta love the bubbies!} 
{I traced the backing of the frames onto some old mat board, and mow had to come check it out, he's the nosiest little thing. and the final outcome. so simple, just hot glued the fabric to the mat board}
{I am over the moon for the white fabric with the lace. it was pretty pricey so I wanted to make my 2 yards go as far as possible. but I was able to get a frame and two pillow cases and still have some left over.....hmmmm, now to find another use for it}
{I took some inexpensive white pillow cases and added the white fabric and this gorgeous black tulle. I love the little bits of black with the soft feminine fabrics and patterns.}
{Before I found the yellow quilt online, I was a little too ambitious and had plans to use this yellow quilt material to make a quilt for the bed. So instead I made a few more pillows. you can never have enough pillows} I also found a couple sheer window panels on sale {have I mentioned how much I love getting a good deal?} they brightened the room and made it appear so much larger. And now the bedroom is warm, welcoming, soothing & absolutely unique!
